We’re so excited to celebrate this chapter of our lives in a place that already feels like home to us. Our wedding is best described as a family elopement with open hearts, rooted in the beauty of Mexico and the traditions we love. We’ll exchange vows during an intimate ceremony, followed by a magical dinner reception filled with a serenade, local folklore, and a celebration that honors our commitment in a way that feels unforgettable and deeply meaningful. Our immediate family will be staying at the estate where both the ceremony and dinner reception will take place. We are also extending an invitation to a small circle of friends who would like to travel, witness our vows, and celebrate alongside us. There will be no traditional large reception or formal party. Instead, this gathering is centered on presence, connection, and sharing a magical moment with those closest to us which is why your presence will mean the world. Adults Only Celebration While we truly love the little ones in our lives, our wedding celebration will be an adults only event. The only children in attendance will be those participating in the ceremony. We hope this allows everyone to relax, celebrate, and enjoy the evening with us. Our Wedding

This was the day it all started. I had enjoyed one too many Bellinis not drunk, just tipsy enough to be bold. The Universe, and our bartender, Eduardo, did the rest when we sat next to each other at the bar at Shooters. While the spark was there, what followed was something even better. We built a friendship first. One rooted in laughter, easy conversation, and genuine connection. Looking back, that friendship became the strongest foundation for everything that came next.

The Day We Met 07.23.17

This is when Dwayne casually decided to set the bar forever. He whisked me off to a local airport so I could fly a private plane, all while he sat there holding my champagne.What I didn’t know at the time was that he had originally planned to take me to iFly because I’d mentioned wanting to do it. When he realized it was fully booked that day, he didn’t pivot, panic, or reschedule. He chartered a plane instead.That was the moment I learned two things. One, this man listens. Two, when Plan A doesn’t work, he upgrades it. Prince Charming energy with a little Fifty Shades confidence. Win Win.

Our Official First Date 11.24.17

This was the first of many surprise adventures. Dwayne took me to New Orleans, a city I had never been to and one that happened to be his teenage playground. We rang in the New Year together in 2018, completely unaware that this trip was the beginning of a lifetime of exploring the world side by side.In his excitement to pull off the perfect surprise, he forgot one small detail. To tell me to pack a coat. New Orleans greeted us with a very humbling 34 degree welcome.Somehow, in true Dwayne fashion, he saved the day by finding a chariot biker who wrapped us in a blanket and pedaled us back to our hotel as all the streets were closed to vehicles due to the parade. Teeth chattering, laughter uncontrollable, and frozen smiles that turned into one of our favorite memories.

First Trip of Many 01.01.18

In 2020, while the world faced uncertainty, we found something unexpected… time together.That May, my son, Cristian Chavez, was set to graduate from Florida State University. Instead of celebrating in the usual way, he came back home as everything began to shut down. What could have been a disappointing and uncertain moment quickly turned into one of the most meaningful seasons of our lives.With nowhere to rush off to, we were given the gift of simply being together. During that time, Dwayne and Cris had the opportunity to truly get to know each other. What started as new introductions quickly grew into a genuinely deep bond, as they discovered how much they had in common.Those months became filled with conversations, laughter, shared meals, and a sense of connection that might not have happened otherwise. It brought the three of us closer than ever and created the foundation of the family we are today.It wasn’t the year we expected, but it became a chapter we will always be grateful for.

Recommended Airport

For travel, we recommend flying into Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez. It’s the most convenient option with the widest range of flight times and airline choices, especially if you plan to spend a few days exploring before heading to the wedding location. Travel documents to have on hand- A valid passport. Make sure it does not expire within six months of your travel dates.- A return or onward ticket, as this is sometimes requested at immigration.- Your accommodation details, including hotel or Airbnb address.- While visas are not required for US citizens traveling to Mexico for tourism, always double check current entry requirements before you travel. Helpful travel tips for Mexico- Bring both a credit card and a debit card. Credit cards are widely accepted in major cities, but cash is still useful for taxis, tips, and smaller spots.- Use Uber or authorized taxis when possible, especially at the airport.- Keep a copy of your passport saved on your phone, just in case.- Pack comfortable walking shoes. Recommended Transport to San Miguel de Allende

For transportation, we highly recommend using BajioGo as your primary option for getting to San Miguel de Allende. We will be using this service on November 5th leaving from Mexico City International Airport Benito Juarez. BajioGo offers reliable, comfortable shuttle service with professional drivers who know the route well. It’s an easy, stress free way to travel, especially if you’d rather not rent a car. The ride is scenic and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. The approximate cost is $35 to $45 USD per person one way (please be sure to contact them for exact pricing) for a shared shuttle, making it a great balance of comfort and value. The weekend before our wedding falls during one of Mexico’s most beautiful and meaningful celebrations, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). We will be arriving in Mexico City on Saturday, October 31st and plan to attend the 2026 Day of the Dead Grand Parade on Sunday, November 1st (typically beginning around 2 PM). Estate Address & Access Key Information

The Estate Casa de los LeonesFaroles 12San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato 37740 •	Entrance to the property is through the gate to the right of the garage doors. It is the lower box and the code is 8512.•	Main entrance to the house is directly up the stairs through the double doors into the living room (lock box to the left of the doors and the code is 1122 -yellow key). Please return that key to the lockbox once you open the main door. The additional front door keys are hanging to the left of the entrance with lion keychains. Those are the ones to use during your stay.•	All locks on the doors take two turns to lock “twice”. Same to open. You will hear it click two times. Some keys remove vertically, others horizontally.•	Keys to the kitchen doors are: green opens the left, blue opens the right. They are kept in the left hand drawer by the arch with glass shelves.•	The yellow key that works the front door also opens the reception room door (the room with the chess table).•	The keys for the library patio are hanging on a nail to the right of the bookcases above the water cooler.•	The key for the primary bedroom patio doors are in the book box on the red table in the primary bedroom.

Medications

If you need any medications for anything, they are in the upper cabinet to the left of the kitchen refrigerator. If you need extra toiletries, they are stored upstairs in the blue and white hallway cupboards. Or just ask the staff and they can get it for you.

Housekeeping

While you are there if you want your bedrooms made and baths tidied, keep your bedroom doors open when you leave the house. If you don’t want them cleaned, close your doors and they will know to stay out. During your stay on Monday through Friday 8-4 and Saturday 8-12, the staff will be onsite. They do not come Sundays. Water Dispensers

There are water dispensers in the library, right side pantry in the kitchen and the pool room. The water in the whole house is filtered and is safe and the water in the kitchen sink and refrigerators are triple filtered for drinking.

No Smoking

There’s no smoking anywhere in the house – only outside by the lower pool area. (But please close the doors to the pool room if you smoke). As an FYI, San Miguel de Allende just passed a law there is no smoking in any public space, indoors or out. So, no smoking on sidewalks, parks, etc.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

*VERY IMPORTANT* Use only green and white taxis when getting around town. Some white and/or black cars with taxi signs and lights will try to pick up Americans. Many of these cars are scammers. They “help” you out of the car and end up pick pocketing you. Do not use these cars for any reason. To go into town: It is easiest to get into town by turning left out of our house and going to the end of the street and turning right. Just follow that street down. You will come through the arches of Atascadero and go straight and down on Santo Domingo. The street name becomes Correo right by the bell towers (on the left). About 10 minutes of walking from our house you will look up and see the center of town with the Parroquia. (About two blocks down on the left hand side is an amazing fresh bread place Panio – everything in there was perfection). To come home, into the green and white taxis and anywhere from the center to our home is 80 pesos (approximately $5 USD). Don’t over tip the taxis as it hurts the locals (taxis won’t pick them up but only foreigners). We give 90 pesos total which we were told was fair (still at $5 USD). It’s a good idea to take note of the number on the side of the taxis in case you forget your phone or items in the taxi, you can contact the main phone number and give them the # of the taxi. This is the closest large grocery store to our house. If it’s during regular work days for the staff, you can ask Juan Carlos to take you there in my car onsite. Saturday mornings on Ancha San Antonio they have a great market right beside Mercado Sano (food, arts, crafts, etc.) Dentro de Mercado Sano, Ancha de San Antonio 123, San Antonio, 37750 San Miguel de Allende, Gto., Mexico Getting Pesos: There are many banks in Centro (by the main church called the Parroquia) as well as down the hill to the town from our home. Santandar works with BOfA, there’s Chase and Citibank as well. When getting pesos, accept the fee but decline their exchange rate. You get much better exchange rates from your home bank than here.

There are all kinds of food and it's all good) Book online by OpenTable OR call/walk in. •	Casa Nostra Rooftop and interior spaces. Chef Marcos is one of the best in town. Incredible food. Rooftop views are wonderful. •	Terraza 48 Rooftop w/ one of the best views in the city and great food. Hip and sleep. Reservations highly recommended, it sells out. Good for sunsets. C •	Tostévere Cozy and intimate nook for a dinner. You feel like you are in someone’s hip living room. •	Pirules Back in the garden of the Rosewood Hotel, fresh organic food with a wonderful menu•	Il Posadito great Mexican food to the right of the Parroquia. •	Don Taco Tequila Vegan tacos and a sophisticated array of vegan Mexican dishes. Very popular with locals and tourists. Small cozy location. No reservations and sometimes a wait, so put your name down and go have a drink somewhere and they will phone you. The drinks here are amazing and sometimes have live music. We loved the rose margarita. Also, they deliver and do takeout. •	Áperi (Chef’s Table) The food is an 8 out of 10, but the chef’s table experience is amazing. You sit in the kitchen and can watch them cook the food. I wouldn’t come but for the chef’s table. It can sit up to 8 but they will take parties as small as 5. It is 8 courses, each with a tequila or wine parring. I believe about $120 USD. It includes very high-end liquor, so a pretty good deal. The setting is presentation is world class. The food is very good but not amazing. Reservations required. •	Quince Hip rooftop very nice at sunset for drinks. Reservations needed on weekends. Live DJs and performers. Very amazing view of the main church. •	Mama Mia Great food, live music, great cocktails, ask for the back courtyard •	El Tupinamba This Spanish restaurant has a side room (left side when you walk inside with a neon light) that plays afterhours techno. You must enter by 1am, and then they close the door and windows and play techno until 4-5am. Very fun hip crowd in a very small but chic setting, and high-end sound system. •	Bovine. In Centro, great veggies and wonderful meat dishes. Seafood is good too and the drinks are wonderful. •	Momma. Great Italian. •	The Restaurant Known as one of the best in SMA. High end Mexican/fusion food. •	El Correo Simple classic mexican food - great tortilla soup and cheap •	Estoril Variety of fusion choices •	Maria Xoconostle My favorite place to grab lunch in a courtyard right around the corner from the Parroquia •	Hecho en Mexico Great variety of Mexican cuisine, good drinks and cheap Coffee/Brunch: •	Lavanda Café Known as the best coffee in the city. They grew their coffee with fresh lavender (apparently people love it - I don’t drink coffee).•	Café Muro Brunch spot with lots of coffee options in a sit down indoor/outdoor •	Rsetting. Rustica Great food, casual•	Inside Cafe Wonderful brunch food and casual•	Cafe y Churreria San Agustin OK, if you're in the mood, best churros and fresh! •	Porfirio (new churro place in centro - great churros and coffees/chai) Bars/Views: Luna Rooftop Fabulous views of the city from the rooftop of the Rosewood Hotel - wouldn't eat dinner there (overpriced and just average food), but cocktails with appetizers and that view is worth it - you'll probably need reservations Gamma Only gay bar in town but attracts a mixed crowd of hipsters (not just gays). Ran by a lesbian couple. Drag night on Tuesdays is very fun. If you arrive at 9pm you can get a table and the drag show starts at 10pm. Popular on Fridays as well for a more traditional club scene. Yintony De Tanqueray Hip bar attached to Hotel Live Aqua, which is probably the “coolest” hotel in the city. This is the outdoor gin bar, and the most casual of the 4 bars at the hotel. La Casa Dragones Great tequila tasting bar Shops/Activities: •	Walking through town there are literally hundreds of boutiques and galleries for every taste and price. •	Fabrica la Aurora. A must see. About 100 or so galleries in an old fabric factory. Some are better than others, but you can literally spend hours here. The building itself is very cool. A bit of a maze to walk through. Has a coffee shop and bar inside. Good for gifts. •	Sala de Murales Siqueiros in the Cultural Museum •	Rosewood Hotel. The physical building is opulent and has many bars and restaurants, including the famed rooftop bar. One of the other things the hotel offers is unique events. Check the event calendar or book an experience. They offer over 50 experiences, from learning about fresh local ingredients to art classes to hot air ballooning. •	Casa Michoacana Gallery. Somewhere between an art gallery and a home decor store. High-end but reasonable. They have a small hip jewelry store on the side of the complex that had unique accessories. •	Mercado de Artesanos. Hundreds of small independent artisan stores with ceramics, jewelry, baskets, weaving, art, etc.
