Mexico has long been one of our favorite places to travel, explore, and create unforgettable experiences together. Over the years, we’ve visited many cities, each one leaving us with memories we’ll carry for a lifetime.
As our wedding date gets closer, we’ll continue sharing some of our favorite things to do in both Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende. From cultural experiences to food, history, and moments that simply stay with you, there is so much to enjoy in both places.
If your schedule allows, we highly recommend giving yourself a little extra time before or after our wedding to explore on your own. It’s a beautiful opportunity to slow down, discover something new, and create memories of your own while you’re here.
Dia de los Muertos in Mexico City (CDMX)
The weekend before our wedding falls during one of Mexico’s most beautiful and meaningful celebrations, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
We will be arriving in Mexico City on Saturday, October 31st and plan to attend the 2026 Day of the Dead Grand Parade on Sunday, November 1st (typically beginning around 2 PM).
This iconic event features elaborate floats, giant puppets, music, and performers, celebrating life and honoring loved ones. See Lodging & Car Service tab for where to stay in Mexico City.
